BATTLESTAR GALACTICA RAZOR (DVD Review) - 10/1/08

This Unrated Director's Cut of "Battlestar Galactica Razor" has extra footage and actually is essentially viewing for anyone who has been watching the current re-vamp that has been airing. Not only does the multi-layered and convoluted plot add further to the story it manages to fill in the back-story of the Battlestar Pegasus's Commander Admiral Cain and a deeper plot involving the Cylons which harks back to the First Cylon War with original Centurion Cylons and a young Bill Adama. Not only did I thoroughly enjoy it I can only wish that the previous series had this depth and revelation - Not only do we get to see the original Cylons but have an inkling that this may have been a massive plan plotted out over a hundred years. We also get an ominous warning about Starbuck that could be interpreted in many ways?

Rolling along for an hour and forty minutes we also get a side story under the Special Features covering Bill Adama's side plot. Round that off with Deleted Scenes and the Season 4 Trailer plus a Season 4 Sneak Peek plus a Commentary all covered with 5.1. Sound and this is a nice little diversion for a couple of hours. Roll on Season 4 - Let's hope it's not a total wash-out after all??
