YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE (DVD Review) - 23/7/06

This time round Bond end's up in Japan and everything is on a massive scale from the huge Volcano Setting to the Aerial Helicopter fight with Q's Gyrocopter and pursuers. Blofeld actually gets a face this time round and a lapful of cat that I thought was a puppet but was a real cat flailing and rearing around in Donald Pleasance's lap as he held onto it for grim death obviously frightening the life out of the cat as explosions roared all around them. Bond gets disguised as a simple Japanese fisherman to blend in (absolutely hilarious) and not only still doesn't look Japanese in the slightest but ends up looking more like a Vulcan from Star Trek - Mr. Spock come on down! Again with the current Sound/Image Restoration being done this Ultimate Edition is fresh as a daisy on both fronts now: The Sound is once again totally clear and audible and the lustrous textures to the images on screen have a brand new sheen now.
