BAISE-MOI (DVD Review) - 26/8/06

Won't go into the controversy surrounding this extremely low-budget French film but after being banned in France then re-released with a more "adult" rating and both covers for Regions 1 (USA) & 2 (UK) given warnings you can tell it's not going to be easy sailing. The lead actors were originally porn stars and the sex scenes in this film are for real - Much like the film "9 Songs" with strong sexual imagery and sadistic violence. The two female leads are living a shitty life amongst other drug peddlers and assorted lowlifes, get horrendously assaulted then go out on a road trip sucking, fucking and killing anyone that gets in their way - and that's it! Not only did I find it boring - I found it pointless. What it was trying to say I don't know??? For a film with a story seek out "9 Songs" at least it has the thread of a plot and actually goes somewhere.
