THE DEAD ZONE {2nd. Season} (DVD Review) - 4/7/06

This Second Season of "The Dead Zone" starts off well again following up the excellent First Season with some awesome episodes and best of all the TV suits actually extended this season by 7 episodes - So that instead of a run of 12 we actually get 19 episodes for Season 2. Stand out episodes include "Zion" where Bruce gets a chance to reconcile his problem's with his father and also manages a parallel re-telling of the original story in an alternate reality with the Greg Stilson assassination and a character from the future in "Visions" with a chilling message for Johnny. Production values and more or less the whole kit and caboodle for the cast and crew stay strong throughout this excellent Second Season taking us on a journey across a variety of different plains with a whole gamut of imaginative ideas and storytelling. Some feeling like "Groundhog Day" over and over again, others sad and others amusing and touching. Again like the First Season we get a large selection of Special Features spread across all five discs again. We get the chance to see how an episode of "The Dead Zone" is made from start to finish from the creation of the story all the way up to the end titles and each phase is covered. We also again get interviews all across the board from the cast, crew and production staff to guest actors. Included are Deleted Scenes, Storyboards, and Production Commentaries on all 19 episodes.
